COVID-19 (Coronavirus) advice

31 August 2021 update

Given the evolving COVID-19 situation in NSW and other States and Territories, and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our candidates, we have made the difficult decision to cancel face-to-face test centre sittings in Sydney and Canberra and move the 2021 LAT fully online via remote proctoring. All affected candidates registered have been sent an email and should refer to the email for further information. If you have any concerns about your ability to sit the LAT via remote proctoring, please email lat@acer.org immediately.

If you have any concerns about your ability to sit the LAT via remote proctoring, please email lat@acer.org immediately.

11 August 2021 update

ACER and UNSW Law & Justice will adhere to official government advice. We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in NSW and the ACT, and will inform candidates accordingly should there be any changes. If this page does not answer your questions, please email lat@acer.org immediately.

LAT 2021 will be delivered as a computer-based test (candidates type their answers) in Sydney and Canberra Test Centres and by remote proctoring through ProctorU on Thursday 30 September 2021. All candidates intending to sit LAT in a test centre must read and adhere to COVID-19 Safe procedures at test centres.

Candidates should be aware that if changes to government restrictions for COVID-19 mean ACER can no longer provide you with a test centre, ACER will contact all affected candidates by email and offer remote proctoring test sittings. Should you choose not to, or be unable to, undertake a sitting of LAT by remote proctoring, ACER will provide you with a full refund. Due to the tight timeframes between the test and UNSW’s admission processes, no other testing arrangements can be considered.
