ACER Test App

Before the test day you will need to install the ACER Test App. You need this to access the test and you will not be able to sit LAT without it.

Please use the links below to download the correct ACER Test App for your computer's operating system:

For Windows 10 or higher (if you see the 'Windows protected your PC message', click 'more info'. When a new message pops up click 'run anyway')

For Mac OS X 10.10 or higher with Intel chip (most common)

For Mac OS X 10.10 or higher with Apple chip (if Mac Gatekeeper blocks the ACER Test app, please follow these instructions)

Once you click on the required link the ACER Test App will automatically download and save to your desktop

You will not be able to login to the app before your scheduled sitting. Just ensure that the app is installed on your device. Please note that you may not see LAT as an available option within the app until the time of your sitting.

If you have a previous version of the ACER Test App installed, uninstall your existing app and then reinstall the latest version of the test app to the device you intend to sit LAT with.

If you are unable to install the ACER Test App on your computer the cause could be, but not limited to, a firewall or antivirus. Please note these restrictions are beyond ACER’s control.

Note: to check whether your Mac has an Intel or Apple chip:

  1. Open the Apple Menu.
  2. Select About this Mac.
  3. In the Overview tab, look for Processor or Chip.
  4. Check whether it says Intel or Apple.
