The 2017 LAT sitting took place on Tuesday 26 September 2017.
Standard registrations for the LAT 2017 closed at 5:00pm AEST on Friday 11 August 2017. Late registrations were accepted from 5:00pm AEST on Friday 11 August 2017 until 5:00pm AEST Wednesday 6 September 2017. A late registration fee applied to all applications completed during the late registration period.
Registration for the LAT is only available online. To register, you will need:
- A computer with internet access
- A credit or debit card
- Photo-bearing identification details; and
- An email address.
To register candidates must create an online account and provide a valid email address. This email address will be used for all communication from the LAT Office, including information on your test reporting time and test venue details, as well as how to access your LAT Admission Ticket and Statement of Results. You should keep copies of all messages sent from the LAT Office for your records.
When creating an account, candidates should ensure that their name and date of birth match the identification document that they will use on the test day. These details will also be printed on the Admission Ticket and Statement of Results. Once the online account has been activated, it can be used for any future registrations. If you registered to sit for the LAT 2016, you can use the same account to register for the LAT 2017. If you have forgotten your account details, you can reset your password using the link provided on the registration site.
The option to register for the LAT will only appear in the online account while registrations for the test are open. Candidates need to fill in the registration form and submit their payment. Upon successful completion of the registration, a registration confirmation and payment receipt (tax invoice) will be sent to the registered email address. For concession and remote invigilation registrations, registrations are not confirmed until the required documentation is submitted to the LAT Office. You should follow the instructions in the registration email, for what to do to complete and confirm your registration. The status of the registration can be checked in the online account at any time. Candidates can also amend their registration details via their online account. For name changes and updates to the date of birth recorded, you will need to contact the LAT Office for support.
Note: Candidates who provide an email address that is hosted by Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com are advised that some procedures implemented by these providers may result in some email messages not being accepted, or being flagged as spam. You are advised to use a different email service provider for the purposes of your LAT registration, or to put email@example.com in your address book, to ensure emails from the LAT Office are not regarded as junk mail.
PLEASE NOTE: ACER reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse or cancel a registration in any circumstances where ACER considers the application for registration or the registration once completed is not bona fide, or the registration fee as applicable is not received in full and as cleared funds by the payment date or the late registration date given.
