Refund terms

Except as expressly provided herein, or at law, for example, under Australian Consumer Law, all moneys paid as part of a registration to sit LAT are non-refundable.

Registration fees for LAT 2024 will be refunded up until the close of the late registration period (see Homepage for exact date), minus an administration charge of $50 (applicable to both concession and full fee paying candidates).

The late registration fee is non-refundable, except as provided at law.

Requests for a refund must be submitted online via your ACER account.

To cancel your registration:

  • login to your ACER account
  • click Manage registration
  • click Request a refund under Cancel Registration.

A confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address if the request has been submitted successfully. The fee will be refunded to the card used for payment (less applicable administration charges). Please allow several business days (after you receive notification that the refund has been processed) for the funds to appear in your account.

If your credit card has changed since you paid your registration fee, please email the LAT office.

Ill health or emergencies on your test day

If you are sick or experience an emergency on your test day, you must email the LAT Office immediately.

Refunds may only be provided if there are extenuating circumstances, in which case, medical certificates or other official proof must be emailed to the LAT Office within 1 week of the test date to be considered. If your reason is approved, the funds will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment minus an administration fee.
